Posted 09-18-14 - The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) has made available on it's Website a document for guidance regarding the sales tax classification of certain candy and related products.
For those retailers who have been through a sales tax audit or at some point will go through an audit, gaining the best understanding possible of just what is and is not taxable prior to an audit could help your store during an audit.
Kentucky law regarding just what is and is not taxable is sometimes difficult to interpret.

The document below may provide assistance in determining which candy items may or may not be taxed.
