NEW FOR YOU!
Website Forums & Swap Shop
Posted 07-26-12 - KGA/KACS members have asked me if there could be a way to exchange/share information between members via our Website and I'm pleased to report that our Web developer Jon Grant (Divided Eye Systems) has put together a new Website forum system for us.
This forum will be a great resource for talking about specific issues, finding/selling used equipment, business properties/locations for sale/rent, or generally sharing important non-competitive information about our industry.
The forums are moderated to protect you and the association from possible antitrust issues and I asked that we all use appropriate consideration, language, and respect for all opinions. Attached is the KGA/KACS Antitrust policy.
The KGA/KACs Member Forums are located on our Website homepage under "News & Info" button with the choice "Member Forum & Swap Shop". Member login is required.
Many of you use our Website and in attempting to provide the most value to those who support the association with annual dues payments, I've made this new feature a "Members Only" area requiring your login information.
Don't Remember Your Login Information?
Never fear as retreiving your user name & password is easy using the "Forgot Login" button on the right side of our homepage. (This only works if we currently have an email for you in our system.)
If you are a member, but have not provided us an email, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll add your email address to the system.
Your email is NEVER shared outside of the KGA/KACS!
I've setup a few "topics" for use as discussion starters and please feel free to let me know of others you would like to see added.
Initially, I was thinking that a good forum for non-competitve sharing might be the "Scanning & Receiving" topics. Please feel free to let your scanning & receiving folks know that they are welcome to be added to our system (at no additional cost to your store) and become a part of the discussion.
I set up other basic departments in a typical grocery or convenience store and welcome all our KGA/KACS member associates to participate.
I hope each of you will "Check Out" this new KGA/KACs member service and participate!
Let the discussions begin!
